Named the Vice Captain of the Pakistan under-19 side, Umar Waheed has earned the respect of all those around him. This 18 year old along with his impressive leadership prowess is equipped with sublime batting ability. A highly touted middle-order batting prospect, Umar Waheed has shown time and time again his talent under pressure. This young man has quietly demonstrated what it takes to bat while his team is against the wall.
His domestic cricket is still to get going, but the few matches he has received have created more intrigue. In 6 OD matches with the Lahore Lions, Umar Waheed is average an excellent 46.75 and continues to rise. This bodes well for his career as a middle order batting prospect and one most will keep an eye on.
Umar Waheed has performed exceptionally well for Pakistan's under-19 team up to this point. Averaging a splendid 47.90 from 16 ODI matches, he has performed on a continuous basis against the world's best talent.
