Australia's total of 194 proves too difficult as Pakistan fall short by 21 runs.

In a must win game, Australia won the toss and chose to bat on a good batting surface. Wahab Riaz gave Pakistan some early joy, dismissing Usman Khawaja and David Warner early. However Australia continued to pile on the runs, and some poor bowling and fielding allowed them to rack up 193-4 from 20 overs. Steve Smith's 61 off 43 and Shane Watson's 44 off 21 were the key contributions.

In reply, Sharjeel Khan got Pakistan off to a great start, and after that Umar Akmal played a good hand. Khalid Latif stuck around but perhaps wasn't able to accelerate enough and it left Pakistan too much to do. Some lusty blows from Malik kept Pakistan in the hunt but James Fulkner's 5 wickets ultimately let to a 21 run win for the Australians.
