Pegged as an upcoming and developing bowling talent, Mir Hamza has only now begun scratching the surface of his potential

Teams: Pakistan U-19 team, Karachi Dolphins
Batting style: Left-hand bat
Bowling style: Left-arm medium

Pegged as an upcoming and developing bowling talent, Mir Hamza has begun scratching the surface of his potential. Having the ability to bowl accurately and hit the right spots on a continuous basis has earned him a spot in the squad. Still young, Mir Hamza will look to continue to develop under the tutelage of experienced coaches. His abilities first became noticed after his tremendous spurts in the local under-19 competition. He was the second highest wicket taker in the tournament with a haul of 50 wickets for Karachi Blues.

Mir Hamza earned his way into the Karachi Dolphins’ team but has yet to catch the eye of the national selectors but one would think it's only a matter of time, especially if he continues to put in strong efforts in first class cricket. In his First Class career so far he has played 26 matches claiming 118 wickets at an impressive average of 20 and best figures of 10-25.

Hamza has also shown some promise in limited overs cricket claiming 33 wickets at an average of 31 in 24 List A matches including a personal best 4/27.

Hamza Mir was also recently picked for the Pakistan A team to play Sri Lanka A following his consistent performances. He played 3 List A matches picking 4 wickets and 7 wickets in 3 First Class matches.
