Saad Ali, having only played a handful of matches at the Pakistan Under-19 level, has managed a couple of notable innings. His unbeaten 36 off 33 balls led Pakistan to a seven wicket victory over Australia in the second match of the three-match Youth ODI series in Australia prior to the U-19 World Cup.

Ali was selected in Pakistan's Under-19 squad following a good show in the youth domestic tournaments at home. Captaining the Karachi Blues, Ali scored 214 runs at an average of 42.80 in the Inter-Region/Department Under-19 One Day Tournament 2011/12. He also scored 578 runs at an average of 48.16 in the 3-day tournament. He achieved his career-best score when he smashed 300* against PIA Under-19s, which had the services of his current team mates Zia-ul-Haq, Imam-ul-Haq and Salman Afridi.

Ali is an aggressive stroke-player, but not a reckless oneat that, as he demonstrated during Pakistan's first warm-up match against England Under-19s. Coming in to bat when his team was 4 down for 26 in 11.2 overs, Ali added 174 runs for the fourth wicket partnership with Imam-ul-Haq. He scored 100 runs off just 92 deliveries, smashing 8 fours and a six along the way.

Although Saad Ali has not played many matches at the Youth International level, he has a vast experience of domestic cricket at the youth level, having played for Karachi's Zonal Under-19 teams, Karachi Whites, Karachi Blues, Pakistan Education Board and KESC Under-19s. He is definitely one to watch for the future.

Saad Ali got selected for Pakistan A to play Kenya and scored 27 and 19 in 2 matches. In the 2015 Domestic season he played his List A cricket for Karachi Dolphins  where he scored a couple of match winning fifties . His average at the end of the season in List after 15 matches is 75 and in First Class after 23 matches is 42. The young batsman has a bright future ahead.
