Small in stature but big in heart, Bilawal is a young up and coming bowling all rounder from Muridke, who has shown promise with both bat and ball in his young international career . Bilawal was first brought into the squad for T20 side for Pakistan’s limited overs tour of SA in 2013. Due to the injuries of Malik and Razzaq, Bilawal was immediately drafted into the starting XI. Bhatti finished figures of 1/35 from his 4 overs but it was his pace and ability to beat the batsmen with pace which really impressed. Bhatti continued to impress in the second T20I against SA and despite going wicket-less was brilliant in his death bowling and was instrumental in levelling the T20I series for Pakistan.

Bilawal’s strong performance in the T20I’s were enough to get him a call up for the ODI series which proceeded. It was on this occasion Bilawal would show his prowess with the bat putting up a 74 run partnership with fellow debutant Anwar Ali, which rescued the Pakistan innings, after being reduced to 131/7 by the SA’s. The knock went on to be a match winning with SA falling 18 runs short and Bilawal finishing off with 3 wickets to go with his 39 on ODI debut.

Bilawal made an immediate impact on his Test debut against Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi, his 3 wicket burst allowed Pakistan to bowl the SL’s out for a modest 204, Bilawal wouldn't be as successful with the bat finishing with 14 after receiving a rough DRS decision. He was unable to replicate his first innings efforts finishing with figures of 2/146 in the SL second innings and wasn't required for Pakistan's second innings with the bat.

Poor performaces in ODI's and T20 from Bhatti combined with injuries were the reason he was in and out of the team. He featuered in the 2 match ODI series against NZ prior to the 2015 World Cup and failed to impress with figures of 1-51 and 0-93. He later played 2 List A matches for Pakistan A against Sri Lanka A picking up 2 wikcets in 2 matches.

After an impressive domestic T20 tournament picking 6 wickets in 4 matches saw him get selected for Pakistan again to play Zimbabwe at home in May 2015 where he failed to pick up any wickets in the 2 matches he featured.
