The PakPassion team are delighted to welcome you back to our forums.
You will have noticed that we have re-launched the forums with a new software that we feel will provide our members with a much better all-round experience.
As with any upgrade, it will take a bit of time to get used to and there may be some issues that will need correcting. We have set up this thread
for you to report any issues that need looking into by our technicians or if you have any suggestions regarding the design and the layout of the forums.
We thank you for your patience whilst the forums were not available, but as you can imagine, a project like this takes a lot of planning, organising and hard work.

England Innings: England looking to amend their 1st ODI performance got away to an ideal start with Roy and Hales putting up a 100 run partnership before Wahab Riaz intervened to give the first breakthrough. The partnership between Root and Hales then took over where the openers had left. Some intelligent batting brought hundred for Hales and a century partnership with Root before he was stumped off debutant Iftikhar's bowling. Pakistan bowlers unable to find the magic of the first ODI were left to try and slow down the run rate but with Eoin Morgan who is probably the best player in these conditions, both put on 40 runs before Root was comprehensively bowled by Wahab Riaz. Not content with that wicket, Wahab Riaz removed Buttler in the final over his spell, ending up with 3-43, all bowled at searing pace. Eoin Morgan was next to go with Mohammad Irfan getting him caught off a slow ball. England ending up on 283/5 after threatening to clear 300 with ease for which Pakistan can thank their fast bowlers Wahab and Irfan.

Pakistan Innings: Chasing targets has never been Pakistan's forte and they showed today why that is the case. Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez were back in the pavilion with the score at 10, which brought in Iftikhar Ahmed to join his captain Azhar Ali in the chase. With the required run-rate climbing, Pakistan batting started to fall apart with regular wickets being lost in face of some accurate bowling by England with Woakes and Willey. Pakistan were thus reduced to 50/5 before an enterprising partnership between Sarfraz and Rizwan gave some hope and entertainment to the fast dwindling fans at the Sheikh Zayed stadium. Rizwan was clean bowled by Adil Rashid leaving Sarfraz to fashion some kind of face saving innings. Anwar Ali and Wahab Riaz did not last long and the game was pretty much over when Sarfraz (64*) was caught behind. Pakistan losing the game by a massive 95 runs.

Summary: Despite an excellent bowling performance by Wahab and Irfan, Pakistan's woes in chasing high totals was laid bare in a spectacular fashion by England and some deep thinking by the Pakistan think tank to ensure that they are better prepared for the 3rd game in Sharjah on 17th November.
