Playing Ranji and getting humiliated by spinners there would not be good for his image.

Since the end of the 2019 ODI World Cup, Rohit has had a powerplay strike rate of 92.55. That puts him in sixth place among openers who have batted in at least 15 innings in that period, but while Jonny Bairstow (106.35) is clearly ahead of the pack, Quinton de Kock (95.93), Jason Roy (95.89), Gill (94.88) and Finn Allen (93.19) aren't that far ahead of Rohit.

The recent numbers starkly contrast with those from the start of 2013 - when Rohit became a regular ODI opener - and the end of the 2019 World Cup. His powerplay strike rate was just 70.47 then.

    lol.

And his fans would like us to believe since he is not injured for a significant amount of time, a la Jadeja, he doesn't need to play FC cricket.

Looks like he is batting in ODIs as per plan. If only his innings last a bit longer than they currently are.

Hmm. 3 spinners under lights with dew at this venue. So an attack of Umran, Shardul and Pandya? We need to find 2 more pacers from somewhere.

History doesn't back this up. Highest score here is 418 or something by India while batting first against WI in 2011. Next highest is 290 odd while chasing by India. If India get 300-320, they should defend it. No excuses.

It's why Australia is a great place to watch any form of cricket. Big boundaries, high bounce. Runs really have to be earned there.

If there isn't much movement, the team can chase ~380. Depends on the top order showing up.

No movement, ball straight as an arrow and the boundaries 60m.

Idk, we'll see when we bat. Our bowlers aren't skillful to make use of any movement if available.

We're forced to have those dimensions because council and rate payers don't want to make large stadiums for cricket because there isn't a demand for it. It's either that or not have any cricket in Auckland and Wellington.

India building stadiums for the sole purpose of cricket and then making the boundaries as small as amateur club cricket is silly.

    Makes no sense.

Indore is always like that for years. Nothing new. INdore crowd have witnessed several entertaining knocks. Sehwag's 219 is the most famous.

Tickner has bowled well here. Deserved wicket out. Kohli doesn't comfortable either. Don't think he will last.

Tiny ground ,reminds me of the ground where pakistan national odi cup was played. No boundaries should be less than 70 meters.
