Hi guys ...

This has been my wish to post such a thread for a long time ... but bounded by stiff schedule I was unable to .... Since I am not very busy these days so it seemed to me that I can use the time ....

As the title says this thread will consist of Pics of Iran

Cities & Places
Life & people
Military
Science & Technology ( face of modern Iran )
Products & Industry
History


and everything else related to it ....

In the First Phase I will post the cities and Places only .... then will come military , Science & tech. and so on ....

Thanks To a Certain "Mod" for permitting me to post this thread ... I am really thankful to you ...

Great thread. Really Awesome Pics...

Where is that skiing place in #3, and what is that peak in the background of some of the pics? I never knew it snowed in Iran, I thought it was mostly desert..

Do you guys drive on the right side of the road? I thought most asian countries (former Brit colonies) followed left hand driving model.

What is that in the middle of the road in the 3rd pic in post 5? Looks beautiful but does it have any purpose?

(Sorry, am a civil engineer , that is why bit more curious about these things)

It would be awesome if you posted captions for each pic.

Almost a hundred pictures and I couldn't spot a single white BMW.

Also, the amount of pictures you have of food in this thread appropriately reflects the amount of spice in Persian food. Please add some! Edit: I'm hoping this will be done in phase 2 under Life & People?

Overall great pics, but could you add a heading or give some more info about the different cities/places?

Do you have any pictures of the the ghettos? Or pictures from Khorasan or Sistan/Baluchistan?

P.S. the penthouse on that building in #39 is amazing.

For a Sunni Muslim I had a very negative opinion about Iran and its people. Until I heard Ahmed Deedat's lecture on Iran and started reading more about Iran although I don't agree with their version of Islam but i would never refer them as non Muslims in fact they are more closer to Islam than the house of Saud. I would salute the people of Iran for their courage to stand up for truth and justice whether it was Iran-Iraq war or the standing up against the imperial powers like US .

I am liking all the halal pictures here

Iran looks pretty clean compared to Pakistan and India . I guess it is a subcontinent thing to keep everything dirty .


But i bet Pakistan has more types of Biryani , Pulao and Kababs than Iran
