Flintoff return sky sports - LMAO

On sky sports news they had a report on the return of flintoff against sri lanka A from sunday.

Wijekoon bowled flintoff and the reporter said its something he can tell his granchildren in the future! Why do these gore think too much of themeselves, it pisses me off!

Its funny how they think flintoff is some legendary player Dont get me wrong flintoff is a good player but not as good as the english media make him out to be, his form has dipped drastically since ashes 05.

For a young bowler to knock over Flintoff is a dream. He may have not been the best cricketer in terms of performances for a while now, but he is still one of the world's top players and more importantly the face of not only English cricket but it seems he is the face of world cricket too. Can you imagine being a young bowler travelling to England on a tour that is nothing more than an education, coming up against the world's most famous player and getting one over on him? Its a big moment.

in conclusion a bitter, pointless and dreadful thread that should really be closed.

Personally I never watched Flintoff in his prime so I can't say how good he was, but from what I have watched (post Ashes 05) I haven't been impressed.

Considering how he spearheaded the England attack that won several consecutive series culminating in the Ashes win, I am sure he was really something during that time.

The face of world cricket?!?!!? No, no he isnt - the face of English cricket, well yes along with KP... After his only good series re: Ashes '05 he has been just the standard run of the mill allrounder, i'd rate Bravo above him.. But all congratulations to the young fella and hopefully for world cricket Flintoff can recapture that form of 05, just not against us Aussies

Who's the face of world cricket if Flintoff isn't?

Lara? - retired
Tendulkar? - only big in India now
Ponting? - too hated outside Australia
Akhtar? - too hated by everyone, and never plays
Yousuf? - no charisma
Lee? - maybe if he was more consistent
Pietersen? - not been around for long enough
Dhoni? - pretender
Afridi? - no

Flintoff is the perfect ambassador for cricket, he is always in the action, a great sportsman, a bright chap and a top player. If you put his face on anything these days, it will sell.

Blah Blah Blah. Is there any point in replying to such BS? Get your head out your ass and realize that flintoff is a nobody outside of england.

A bright chap? Yeah it showed when he led england out in the ashes.
A player who he took his team mates out drinking and ruined team morale - very bright indeed.

If you put his face on something in england it will sell yes and thats only because people like you falling for the media hype but he would not sell anywhere else in the world. You think they will buy a flintoff bat for example in pakistan, india or australia over afridi, tendulkar or ponting

A player whos stats are nothing more then average. He reached his peak for a few months in 2005 and is already going downhill! He is nearly 30 his pace will go down and his batting has never been great.

Flintoff is a decent player nothing more. Hes not a legend, hes not the face of cricket. He is just a guy who is overhyped by the pathetic english media because he stands out from a group of average cricketers. The face of cricket More like the lulla of cricket

Whippy mate dont believe everything you read, use your own mind now and again.
