Ya and thing looking even worse ,we are being treated as minnows now. Every team in the world will visit england twice before 2015 bariing the minnows and we are one of them now. We only play like 8 9 tests a year. BUtt has pushed our cricket to the edge , why doent icc sack him if zardari cant.

well Jibran to be fair that England schedule was drawn up in 2009; Pakistan had 2 series, 2010 and 2015, just like other teams

The only way i see ijaz butt being sacked:
Organize a series with india somehow. Looking at current state of things, Pak can be sure to get white washed. Public emotions flare to great heights and naturally Butt gets suspended. |

No offence but India atm is worse than RSA...I know they're ranked above but that's because of the last two years in general, especially the 2008-09 season where they were briliant with Zaheer and Harbhajan in form. Plus Pakistan seem to up their game v India, so I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be a whitewash |

Izaj Butt is just a puppet.
![]() Pakistan cricket has been going down rapidly since a gambler/betting person became patron in chief of PCB. Too many corruption charges during this time. Too many poor performances. No wonder the results are poor

I think Pakistan's ranking has been on continous decline since last few years.
I remember when Inzmam was captain (Naseem Ashraf was Chairman PCB) we were not very outstanding but we were still among best 4 ODI teams. Its after 2007 World Cup that we have chosen one way and that is downwards and to be very honest it started when Naseem Ashraf was there. He announced lot of plans when his resignation was refused by then Patron of PCB but he failed to implement the basic of the things. (No way, I am defending I Butt but I think he took over the sinking ship and made sure that it touches the rock bottom). Apart from Board's incompetencies and all match fixing, in-team fighting and other corruption issues, we have to consider that: 1. Pakistan have not played that many matches, its only this summer than we have started playing back to back series. 2. Teams refusal to come to Pakistan (rightly so after what happened to SL team), most of the matches have been played on away soil which is a big factor

should the WC win be credited to him as well then?
or are the defeats only his fault?

Butts International career summary taken from wikipedia.
Butt played Test cricket between 1959 and 1962. He made his Test debut at Karachi on February 20 1959. The tourists, bowled out cheaply for 146 in the first innings, conceded a 10-wicket defeat with Butt scoring 14 and 41 not out as a specialist opener. He scored two, 21, 47* and two in the rest of the series. Between March 26 and December 4 he played two more Tests against Australia, scoring a career-best 58 in the second Test. He was then left out of the team until 1962, where he toured England for three Test matches. He struggled, scoring 10, 33, one, six, 10 and six before being dropped. |
