Another "milestone" for Sachin today... 200th loss in ODI cricket
A rare achievement for sure.... AND THE 1st ONE TO DO IT
And add the 100th 100 to make it more spicy

Poor Tendulkar will never win on PP. When he scores quick enough he is criticized here, today he batted slower then usual and has been slaughtered here. Funny thing is, even the Indians are against him ... Oh the times ...

Todays was a selfish innings. Specially when he played a maiden 34th over in his 80s with batsmen to follow. I have generally not been a sachin basher and feel that his past 100s did not result in defeats due to his selfishness but today I have to agree, his 100 cost us the game. Waqar and Sanjay on Neocricket also say the same. This was 320+ wicket. It becomes a little easy to bat under lights. This is why Bangla chose to chase.

All his career what i have seen whenever he reaches to 70-80 runs than he start thinking about his 100 and start taking singles and thats the the time when he suppose to raise the runrate these are the mostly last 10-15 overs of the inning but he thinks about his 100 first instead of his country's setting up a target and he mostly take 25-40 balls from 75 to 100 runs.. which makes india runrate slow and india ends up with 15-25 runs short bcoz of that slow patch of batting. on the otherhand many batsmen were opposite to this approach when they see the have made their fifties and they increase their batting speed.. specially batsmen like yuvi, saeed anwer, inzi, sehwag, lara ponting many more..almost all sensible batsmen in the world cricket!
I have been writing about tendulkar's this issue since 1993 and he still same and i am still wring the same issue! India has to wait for his 20k runs and has to deal couple of more few more slow patches in otherwise selfish defeats! I think his goal is 20k after that india will setup 20 runs more targets for team like Bangladesh and win the matches! Good luck to India after his 20K

Tendulkar Thread collector...
Fatefully Sachin picked the wrong match to get to an epic milestone, which will now be eclipsed by the brutal Indian defeat and would be remembered as such for years to.come, people would say, "oh yeah, that match, where sachin scroed the long awaited 100th 100 only to get phainty from Bangladesh."
Although Sacjin had no control over the fate, but, it would have been icing on cake, had India won. And what was with the commentator? He wad praising the innings by saying "what an innings!" I mean the innimgs itself was way below.today's standards. The shots were just reaching the boundaries, it was a Misbahesque innings. Dhoni kind of jinted about his sigh of relief now tjat the 100 waa behind.their back. I personally felt that Dhoni was not too excited about tje 100th 100, when.asked.by Ramiz |

Dude, 1st of all, so much typo in your post that its a bit irritating to read. Am not a grammar nazi but it is too much to let it go.
2nd, i agree with you on one point that, tendulkar picked up the wrong match. It backfired completely.

no need to talk about the greatness of cricket, sachin is the best out there in the cricket world and he shows again how great he is and he will continue showing his master class, we all need to enjoy his time as much as we can.

11 of tendulkar's ODI hundreds have been against minnows
11 of tendulkar's 49 ODI hundreds have been against minnows including 5 against Zimbabwe and 4 against Kenya!
I know that tendulkar has been one of the best batsmen of this era but calling him the greatest ever and comparing him with bradman(nasser hussain) is just going too far. He is definitely the most prolific batman ever interms of the number of runs+centuries scored but that's mainly because of the number of matches he has played. A better measure of a batman's ability is his average. Tendulkar has got very good averages in both test and ODIs but they are not the best. There are many batsmen who have better averages than him and infact he has the 15th best average(tests) by batsmen who have played a signicant number of matches (even current batsmen like Kallis and sangakarra have better averageas than him and there are many with similar averages). http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/con...ds/282910.html So to say that he is the greatest ever(better than bradman, sutcliff,e.t.c) is just over exaggerating things. |

Tendulkars Record will never be beaten!
Michael Vaughan has said this record is equivalent to Bradman`s 99.94 average. I personally agree with him. But never say never. Either way its an amazing achievement.

It was probably his best chance to get the 100th 100 though. We all predicted it would happen against Bangladesh since he always plays well against them. What we did not expect was that India would lose the match.

![]() Obviously he is gonna score against minnows too when he gets the chance. I feel that is a sign of his greatness as well, he manages to stay humble when playing weaker opposition as well. That being said he has scored 38 centuries against non-minnows too. I don't see there being a massive gap between other great players of this era like Lara, Ponting, Kallis etc and Tendulkar but u can not deny he is one of the greatest.
