I bet Somalia was ranked 1st, Followed by Afghanistan and Nigeria. As a general rule the cleverer the people, the higher the Income per Capita. This can be skewed by an abundance of natural resources i.e. Saudi Arabia and UAE but even this cannot mask the low intelligence of some Countries e.g. Angola, Zim etc

^^our leadership brings the IQ quota down.

But I remember reading that this "study" was an hoax.
And honestly don't know how you can quantify intelligence, an abstract entity, and on a national level.

Agreed. Also internationally we are looked at the most negatively by others only to be beaten by Iran. Unfortunate. Intelligence means zilch when one cant use it and bring results to the table. What Pakistan lacks as a nation is leadership (not just in government but in all aspects of life) and determination to strive for the best (exceptions do exist) which are more essential then the intelligence we supposedly have.

Why can't people think postively once in there life atleast if a non pakistani asks you why are you proud to be a pakistani then atleast these things will count for the non pakistani and prove that the goverment is the only problem and that the nation itself is good enough to reach heights if under right leadership.

The only thing I'm proud of this nation is Quid-E-Azam. Allama Iqbal and Imran Khan.

Learn from ISI how to operate and how to work hard. ISI does not rely on technology like CIA and the other countries.

ISI are believed to have access to Osama bin Laden in the past.[12] ISI played a central role in the U.S.-backed guerrilla war to oust the Soviet Army from Afghanistan in the 1980s. That Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)-backed effort flooded Pakistan with weapons and with Afghan, Pakistani and Arab "mujahideen". The CIA relied on the ISI to train fighters, distribute arms, and channel money. The ISI trained about 83,000 Afghan mujahideen between 1983 and 1997, and dispatched them to Afghanistan. B. Raman of the South Asia Analysis Group, an Indian think-tank, claims that the Central Intelligence Agency through the ISI promoted the smuggling of heroin into Afghanistan in order to turn the Soviet troops into heroin addicts and thus greatly reducing their fighting potential.[13] The factions that were backed by the ISI were Gulbuddin Hekmatyar's Hezb-i Islami, and the forces fighting for Jalaluddin Haqqani.

Bosnia

The ISI was involved in supplying arms to the warring parties in Bosnia-Herzegovina to protect themselves from Serbian attacks.

India

Ilam Din also known as Ilmo was an infamous Indian spy working from Pakistan. He had eluded being captured many times but on March 23 at 3 a.m., Ilmo and two other Indian spies were apprehended by Pakistani Rangers as they were illegally crossing into Pakistan from India. Their mission was to spy and report back on the new military equipment that Pakistan will be showing in their annual March 23 Pakistan day parade. Ilmo after being thoroughly interrogated was then forced by the ISI to send false information to his R&AW handlers in India. This process continued and many more Indian spies in Pakistan were flushed out, such as Roop Lal

Israel

1980s

Israel had always perceived a nuclear armed Muslim state to be a threat to its existence, although, Israel itself is assumed to be nuclear. This is the reason why it destroyed the Iraqi nuclear facility in Operation Opera, and the Syrian nuclear facility during Operation Orchard. Israel had similar plans to destroy the Pakistani nuclear facilities in Kahuta during the 1980s with the assistance of India but failed to do so.[36][37]

2002

According to Time magazine, French intellectual Bernard-Henri Levy, has claimed that Daniel Pearl, an American-Israeli, was assassinated by elements with backing from Pakistan Inter-Services Intelligence, over his alleged role in gathering information linking ISI and Al-Qaeda.[38]

ISI became aware of a plot to assassinate the President of Pakistan, Zia-ul-Haq and then launch a bloody coup to depose the current government and install an Islamic government in its place. The attempted assassination and coup was to occur on March 23, 1980 during the annual March 23 Pakistan day parade. The masterminds behind the coup were high ranking Military and Intelligence officers and were led by Major General Tajammal Hussain Malik, his son, Captain Naveed and his nephew Major Riaz, a former Military Intelligence officer. ISI decided against arresting these men outright because they did not know how deep this conspiracy went and kept these men under strict surveillance. As the date of the annual parade approached, ISI was satisfied that it had identified the major players in this conspiracy and then arrested these men along with quite a few high ranking military officers.[14]

Well this fake study should have taken the example of our dearest President. You need a special kind of intelligence to marry the PM, then use that power to suck the blood out of nations resources, make billions whilst the people starve, go to prison for your heinous crimes and despite all of that, somehow become the President.

The people of this nation are so very clever.

The Naval Base in Karachi was attacked by a few talibs... without the ISI knowing.

To get taliban from one place to another when america has satellite systems is not a easy thing but it aint hard for ISI

An intelligence agency is basically a governmental agency which is made for information gathering. There purpose is the national security and defense. The information they gather can be about espionage communication interception, cryptanalysis, cooperation with institutions and evaluation of public sources.
An intelligence agency is a national power. These agencies normally work without the knowledge of public even their successes are not remembered by the people but their failure is always the HIGHLIGHTED news of the press, Well, here we have the list of top 10 best intelligence agencies in the world and the ranking is based on their rate of success and taking care of the situations efficiently.

Thats why they are number one because they have had only a few failures and those being minor as for bin laden he died long time ago believe it or not i am not interested in debating about bin laden is alive or dead anymore so keep that bit out of the conversation because don't believe that.
