Spain: Casillas; Arbeloa, Ramos, Pique, Alba; Alonso, Busquets; Silva, Xavi, Iniesta; Fabregas.

Italy: Buffon; Bonucci, De Rossi, Chiellini; Maggio, Motta, Giaccherini, Pirlo, Marchisio; Cassano, Balotelli.

Italy just begging to get ripped apart with that lineup, De Rossi in the middle of defence ffs. Still, the return of the libero brings joy to the heart of all old school fans

Meanwhile Spain have taken their Tiki Taka tactics to the logical extreme. If your only aim in a game is to accumulate as many short, sideways passes as possible then why bother with a striker?

Fabregas as the striker (false 9), I can see this being a frustrating game for Spain, they will dominate possession as always BUT will they have the cutting edge up front

Love the Italy forward lineup, as mental as you can get

Not just mental but don't forget Cassano had a stroke and needed heart surgery in the middle of this season as well. Feel good comeback story of the tournament.

Spanish just going to crowd the middle of the pitch and ensure Pirlo has no time on the ball to do anything.

What formation are Italy going to use?

hope spain have 100% possession without ever getting into the Italian penalty area before Italy get a 98th minute penalty which Balotelli converts and then gets sent off for his celebration.

Forums and newspapers across the globe to be full of Spanish/Barca fanboys crying about anti-football and "we had more possession so we basically won the game" for the next 2 days.

Italy playing quite well, have stifled Spain and restricted their chances

Some lovely passes from Pirlo, guy is a genius when it comes to passing BUT he needs to stop trying to take on, lost the ball a few times that way

Spain need to bring on Llorente
