PPCL (S2) Contract Analysis Part 1: Team Bring it

Hello, and welcome all to the part 1 of 8 contract analysis of the PPCL (s2)

To begin with we will analyse the team: Team Bring It

Previously known as the Sons of Pitches, Team Bring It have restarted themselves under a new captain, new team, and a new pitch

Last season they ended with 6th in FC, 4th in OD and managed a first round exit in the T20 competition. They hope to change this with a new approach to the contracts.

Quote:
A
Ibad (Right Hand Batsman)
LethalSami (Right Arm Fast)

B
Geordie Ahmed (Right Hand Batsman)
Dhoni183 (WK)
saadibaba (Right Arm Fast)
Amjid Javed (Pure All Rounder)(Right Handed Batsman, Right Arm Fast)

C
Saj (Right Handed Batsman)
wasi90lk (Right Handed Batsman)
RWAC (Right Handed Batsman)
withlovefrom vizag (Right Arm Fast)
Sohaib (Right Arm Leg Spin)

D
Blitz (Right Handed Batsman)
MVP26 (Right Handed Batsman)
Energy (Left Arm Fast)
saf7321 (Right Arm Off Spin)
Team bring it have gone for a balanced team as they have divided up their A and B contracts squarely between their bowlers and batsmen. They seem heavily reliant on their pacemen, and will be hoping for early break throughs with the new ball in the competition

Predicted Line ups:

Quote:

FC:

Ibad (50,99)
Geordie Ahmed (46,99)
Dhoni183 (44,99)
Saj (42,99)
RWAK (42,99)

The first class line up looks to favour batting depth, as even their 8th batsman has a batting average of 35. They might be hoping to play on a green, seaming track so that their ace pacemen can get the opposition out cheaply while the batting depth allows them to make a decent score

The One Day team looks aggressive as they have a very very good bowling attack with four of them having a bowling average below 25. However, with 4 specialist bowlers, they have a long tail and will be hoping that their superstar batsman can make up for this weakness.

However, their T20 line up leave something to be desired. With 5 specialist bowlers, they are heavily reliant on their 6 batsmen to stay on the crease

Team Strength
High Quality Pacemen: They will be feared when the tracks are seaming and swinging... (unless LethalSAMI bowls like his namesake )

Team Weakness

Spinners and Allrounders: With only one allrounder with a high contract, Team bring it are sacrificing a little bit of depth in their OD and T20 squads. Also, while they are deadly on seaming attacks, they seem to lack many quality spinners.

Good analysis.

Decent depth in the FC team. They'll be a force to reckon with. T20 team obviously leaves a bit to be desired, but it's a 'hit and giggle' format anyway.

Liking this approach from Team Bring it.

Pretty good analysis mate!

My POV -

Weaknesses - Do they have enough in the bowling department? I misread the post and thought they had 3 bowlers between A and B level contracts but turns out, they only have 2. We've seen Lethal Sami bowl like Lethal Trundler with an AA contract in the tradition game, but he's really going to have to step it up to push the squad forward. Personally, after seeing the success of the Dynamites/Falcons, I think 3 bowlers in the top A-B contracts is a must. Just my 2 cents.

Strengths - A ton of depth in the C contract level side. With the number of batsman they have there (3), they're bound to find 1 Dubawi-esque player. The batting unit looks pretty good with the 3 Batsman in the top order and if Amjid steps up as a Pure All-rounder, this side can be deadly.

Oh yeah you guys were definitely the best team last season!

Btw, I think the interest is slowly dying because the games aren't starting. It's been way too long.

Better to have one high class all rounder in team, then loads of mediocre bits and pieces players
