Who's the most improved bowler in cricket

Having watched him in the VB series and now against SA, at the moment my choice would be Pedro Collins !! May sound strange but since he obtained advice from Wasim Akram in Australia, his bowling has really come of age. From nowhere he has managed to swing the ball both ways and today Graeme Smith looked lost against him and he's probably not been the only one. There aren't many left arm bowlers on the international that can swing the ball both ways.

From a Pakistan perspective I think that our boys should seek advice from the great one. He still has so much to offer. What's does everyone think?

Not Kasprowicz. He's always been very underrated in the past, but only received his due in the last couple of years.

Most improved I'd say would definitely be Pedro Collins, with a mention for NZ left-arm swing bowler James Franklin.

kUmble has improved dramatically recently overseas. Apart from him i think ntini and vaas have improved a lot.

As for the most underrated bowler today i think yes kaspro is underrated but the most underrated bowler today has to be rafique of bangla. Hes a class act, prolly their only world class player.

Shahid Afridi. Much improved and has more variety than he used to have before. Hes proved himself in Test and ODI cricket to be a wicket taking bowler and not just someone who can stem the flow of runs.

Hash - I've gotta disagree with u regarding Pathan as he seems to have completely lost the art of bringing the ball back into the batsman.

Agree with those who say Pedro Collins.

The interesting thing is that the Windies pacers have suffered a lot from injuries. With COllins, Best, Edwards and Powell available they could trouble the Pak batsmen.

Good list. I would add Flintoff.

Ntini and Vaas have improved but remain limited for different reasons.

Hopefully Sami will continue to show the good signs and join the list!

I've always rated Collins highly and said a while ago that he is best swinger of a ball around at the moment. Don't know when he got advice from Akram. If it was this winter then I wouldn't give credit to Akram for his improvement as he has been swinging the ball for a number of years.

As regards improved bowler I would mention Afridi, Balaji and Lee.

Rana is a very good bowler as he is able to swing both the new and the old ball, and bowls with decent pace.

If given time and support he will be able to fine tune his skills to be come a very effective bowler in all conditions. After Shabber and Shoaib make their return, he should not be ignored, and the it should be upto the two S's to prove their worth rathen than Rana.

I love his attitute and commitment.

Rana has already become a very effective one-day new ball bowler. As for tests I am not sure if he will..

Hafeez was always a useful bowler right from the start. I don't think his bowling has changed at all.
