Park has been handed a start today AJ... Let's see how he does, also Miyaichi is on the bench so I guess happy days for Prince_Pathan too.

Oxlaxde is the player I'm looking forward too - inform midfielder who has scored 2 goals in his last 3 games for Arsenal and 3 goals + 6 assists for EnglandU21's in the past 3 games.

Interesting to see how he get's on.

pissed off miyaichi barely got a kick about

its not happy days at all

wenger should have let him stay at feyenoord instead of this selfishness

iv seen one talented player go down the drain with limited opportunities and i doubt i can handle another one benchwarm at arsenal

miyaichi and chamberlain could be the sparks that ignite our season but no

on Ryo's performance…
Ryo is a guy with heart. I don't think he played long enough and we were in a position where we had to defend more than we could attack. But you could see straight away that his heart, his determination and his pace in the game are big assets.

He is like Oxlade-Chamberlain - they have to get used to the intensity of these games. When will he be ready? He just had one day training yesterday with the group because he was injured. He worked a lot with the fitness coach. I believe he will be ready at Christmas.

We still have 50+ M left over from summer Not spent! so we really should have funds for atleast two top signings!

Also we should have other transfer funds available on top of that as most of what we had left was generated through sales!

RVP has to be the best player in the league right now and one of the best. A potential Ballon D'or candidate, or at least PFA player of the year. This man is carrying 24 other guys on his back!

Just shows how bloody good he is... Shame someone like Rooney hasn't got the ability to do something like that.

Also actually... It wasn't RVP who scored the 5 goals today.

Finally not criticising Ramsey?

He has taken his game to a higher level, a big season for him... And since his leg break... He is finally showing his full potential.

He has been sensational in the past 4-5 games. Easily one of the best young central midfielders in the Premiership.

See... This is what makes you Manchester United fans weak. You don't take things up the chin. Instead you bring the usual things like...

'Atleast we won this and that etc etc', here's a example...

Sometimes you guys just need to accept things and avoid bringing in the usual boring sentences.

Wilshere says hello. Forgotten his contribution last season?

And regarding Ramsey... Yes! It sure feels great... Finally showing his quality since his horrific injury. Shame you can't experience the same emotions I'm running through, regarding have two potentially world class young midfielders (Ramsey and Wilshere).

Can't take it on the chin. Please, you guys take one comment and run with it. United fans been taking it on the chin for a week and I was just appreciating RVP. You can't tell me he is not the one thing that is holding up Arsenal right now? Came through at Stoke and other games and again another hat trick.

As for Wilshire and Ramsey. Anyone who posts here frequently knows I rate both. I like Arsenals' younger players and happy they won. However, I notice you have this tendency to label every young Arsenal player as "the best." I wouldn't be surprised if you started to write sonnets about Jenkinson.

Despite Van persie being Arsenal's best player right now... No he is 'ot the "one" thing' that is holding Arsenal up right now.

When you want to be a team with quality you always have a player who stands out and who gets on the end of things.

Quote:

You notice alot of things about others on here, don't you? But sorry to dissapoint you... You're wrong about claiming that I label 'every' Arsenal player as the "best".

You see I always use the term "one of the best" when it comes to a situation like that, something you've forgot to mention.

As far as I know...

I've mentioned Vermaelen as one of the best centre backs in the Premiership. Song as one of the best young modern CDM's in the World and Ramsey as one of the best young 'central midfielders' in the Premiership.

Nothing wrong with the statements above, you might disagree with them but they are my opinions, so I'm not too bothered about what you "have noticed".

Until then please let us Arsenal fans enjoy the moments, it's been too long.

Apologies Amir, somehow I ended up typing my respond on your post, think I clicked on edit instead of qoute.. Tried to undo it but post was already submitted so deleted it, apologies but here's my respond anyways... [copy/pasted it before deleting the post]

Quote:
that you tend to overhype some of Arsenal's younger players like Song.
When you say I overhype 'some of Arsenal's youngsters' do you actually mean 'some' or do you really mean Song?

My views on Song are based on the FULL 90 minutes of each of the matches he has played in.

Also having a look from your posts in 05/06... I think it's quite unfair to say that we were on similiar levels when it came to hyping youngsters.

Quote:
And by all means, enjoy this moment. Please don't take anything I said personally, just my thoughts.
Yaar at the end of the day... I consider a discussion as a good debate, even if it's you I'm having a debate with.

However when it comes you and Amjid... Then I have second thoughts.

rvp is close enough to his number 10

walcott 14 is nowhere near henry yet and it will be a long time before that happens

What a game and so happy finally the team is gelling together. Van Persie is easily the best striker around and the best player in the Premiership. I was so impressed with Koscielnys performance today it was like a one man defence in the first half and Santos had a good second half. Walcott was immense. With Vermaelen returning he and Koscielny will be great together. Mertesacker is really struggling since he has come to Arsenal. If Van Persie stays fit whole season and we dont get any more injuries things look good for Arsenal.

Another solid performance from Koscielny. Thought he was very good against Marseille last week but he produced a higher level of defensive performance against Chelsea.

He just needs to show consistency in the Premiership, that's the key thing he lacks. Also Vermaelen returning is not only a boost for Arsenal but it will also be a boost for Koscielny as Vermaelen will get the best out of him.

He did a fine job in keeping Torres and Sturridge quite during the game.

I think the reason he hasnt showed great consistency is because we have changed our backline so many times since he has come, he has played with 4 or 5 different centre backs and that dont help. I really think he has got it to be a world class defender he showed it against Barcelona last season and yesterday again, with Vermaelen coming back these two are certain to be first choices lets just hope Vermaelen manages to stay fit so we dont keep changing our defence.

Aaron ramsey had his best game in an arsenal shirt on saturday and the triangle combination of him, gervinho and RVP is begging to work alot better now!

just need to really start improving defensively!

Santos played well and he doesnt look like a footballer at all!

nice dance moves on celebration though!

Arsenal FC to launch January bid for Kolo Toure

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is poised to solve his defence headaches by making an audacious swoop to re-sign Manchester City's Kolo Toure.

The Gunners boss was understandably delighted with the manner in which his team beat Chelsea 5-3 at the weekend, but the result could not mask the number of errors made by the back four.

New recruits Andres Santos and Per Mertesacker both featured at Stamford Bridge, but we're guilty of defensive naivety as the Blues bagged three goals.

And Wenger could now make a move for the unsettled Ivory Coast international who is no longer a first-team regular at the Etihad Stadium after failing a drugs test.

Toure, 30, was sidelined by City for six months and is on a collision course with the club who want to withhold substantial image-rights payments.

Manager Roberto Mancini has no issue with the player and is staying out of the disput, but sources have told Sportsmail that Toure can expect to lose a significant sum, something the defender will resist.

Shame indeed but on the other hand... I'll be excited as Arsenal will be seeing more of Ryo Miyaichi and Oxlade Chamberlain.

Wenger revealed that both of his secret weapons are working on the defensive side of them, improving their body physically and learning the tactical side of football... Should be fully ready by Christmas.

Gervinho looked tired last night and RVP cant play every game!

Its already obvious arsenal need another top quality striker in january! Without RVP we looked toothless and gervinho will be missing when he goes to the african nations.

Niether Park nor chamakh look good enough to fill the breach! Only other option would be to get bendtner back from his loan in january!

Park is a good player, he showed that against Bolton. The problem is... That he is lacking a run of games. Park needs a period where he is allowed to be given a run of games, this will make it easier for him to adapt.

Being in and out isn't going to help. Like Eduardo... He will be introduced in Late or Early December and I'm sure he'll deliver his full abilities.

I think Wenger's plan is to have Park for two years, by then Joel Campbell and possibly Vela will be fully developed.

Arsenal played very well against West Brom. Importantly... Since the recovery of Vermaelen, Arsenal's defence have looked very good. The partnership of Kosh-Vermaelen is mouth watering, also the partnership of Vermaelen and Mertesacker worked very well vs Marseille.

Arsenal fans, what do you make of Jenkinson? He seems to have improved, guess the confidence booster has resulted in the quality performances he has been producing.

I love how he makes those late bursting runs, and always puts in a dangerous cross.

i rate jenkinson

out of our defence against united the kid kept on going and regardless of such a high pressure game i felt he was much better than the rest
and also set up a goal due to sheer determination alone

will be very very good one day

anddd he can cross well with both feet

Lets not get carried away after a few decent results.

We still are behind the top 4 and cant afford to drop points and need to pretty much take maximum points before we play Man city if we want to realistically finish in the top 6

Thoughts on the signings so far? Especially Arteta?

Scored a lovely goal last week - I can't remember the last time where he let me down, frustated me or even misplacing a pass.

Superb article regarding Arteta - worth a read.

Arsenal 'offered Jefferson Farfan in exchange for Andrey Arshavin'

Arsenal could be willing to sacrifice winger Andrey Arshavin to make room in their squad for Schalke forward Jefferson Farfan.

The German club are thought to be worried about losing their Peruvian ace for nothing at the end of the season when his contract expires.

As such, they will offer him to the Gunners in a swap deal that involves Russian forward Arshavin heading in the opposite direction.

A report by talkSPORT revealed that Schalke are not willing to lose Farfan in January for any sum unless they have a readymade replacement secured.

The 30-year-old Arshavin is said to fit the bill perfectly and the £15 million price tag on his head will prove no obstacle as that is approximately what the Bundesliga club value Farfan at.
Despite being Arsenal's record signing, Arshavin has never truly settled at the Emirates and boss Arsene Wenger is thought to be willing to trade him for a proven performer.

Indeed, the Russian's stock has fallen so low that he is no longer guaranteed regular football in north London.

Only this week he threatened that he will leave the Gunners for a new challenge if he continues to find himself 'glued to the bench'.

Park yet again scored for his International side - scoring goals in each of his last four games.

http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news...136_98652.html

Also RVP won't be playing at all versus Germany on Tuesday as Wenger convinced the manager somehow - great news.

if arshavin left i would personally be very upset

farfan proven performer? in the german league? got to be kidding me...on what basis does the article say that

arshavin has performed for country and arsenal when it mattered

least we forget them 4 goals vs liverpool and that oh so important winner vs barcelona

or the way he got russia to the finals of the euros

arshavin has been ruined on the wings when he should have been in a more central position playing behind the striker

one off main reasons ARshavin hasnt done as well is hes had to change postions and play out wide as a winger. For russia and zenit both teams were built around him. If arshavin has been used as a shadow striker or central play maker a few years ago i think we would have seen much better performances from him overall.

Koscielny has recieved alot of criticism last season - including the game against Blackburn this season, along with the game against Manchester United at Old trafford.

Apart from those two games - he's been superb for us. Easily Arsenal's best defender so far and now is being recognised for his quality performances around the World. [Excellent v Chelsea)

People forget that only 2 years ago he was playing ligue 2 football - so it was a matter of patience still we saw his potential establish, and it finally has... Consistency has been the key to his game.

Earned his first cap for France - eye catchy performaces... Claimed man of the match.

Yeah I have to agree that Koscielny has done very well of late, shows he certainly has the ability BUT he needs to continue like this otherwise he will never be regarded as a top defender

Agree, consistency is the key here.

Wenger's problem isn't finding capable defenders it's more finding a system that benefits the defenders. We are too attack minded a team and... That will always affect how the defence performs.

Must say - Pretty surprised how well we're doing defensively since the injury of Sagna, also with the return of Vermaelen, Arsenal look more stable and secure defensively - let's see how long this continues for.

Arsenal look a much better team since 5 years. Mature, big in size, goal scoring striker, towering defenders and aggresive youngsters and finnaly a deep squad.

Finally we are not the kids of the league!

We were interested in him when Manchester United were on the verge of signing him however not so sure why Arsenal dropped their interested in the talented player.

Our midfield is covered - we have lansbury on loan @ WHU, who's doing very well... Currently out with a injury but the fact he signed a recent long term contract, indicates that he will be given games in the future.

Rodwell would be ideal for Arsenal, add some steel.

Also Joel Campbell's goal was good but stunning? Honestly guys, not every Arsenal goal is something special. I remember Park scored vs Bolton, a neat goal but someone described it as amazing here.

Not sure about Manchester United fans living in America/Canada and catching up to Manchester United's matches on their laptops BUT as far as I'm aware...

For Arsenal fans, Manchester United fans or any other fans - every goal is special in their own way.

I agree that Joel Campbell's goal was not stunning however Park's goal was certainly amazing.

If your a footballer - you know one of the hardest technique is to bend the ball - takes skill, and the fact he did it from such an difficult angle makes it better then 'ordinary' or 'good'.
