This was a team effort very good bowling by MRSN in the first inning. This was the foundation for things to come in the second inning. Go Cats!!!!!!!!

Tough loss on a poor pitch fellas. I think we're 0-2 on poor pitches this season and our A level batsman seem to be out of form

I'm open to any suggestions with regards to the lineups but I think we should persist with this one for 1 more match - Opener seems to be the position of death from what I can tell.

Also, ignore any stuff the Bulls say. In my opinion, their squad is extremely overrated and I know that they won't win any championship this year.

1st quarter of the season over - we're 3rd in FC and 6th in OD. Not too bad but not too good either. Good news is, we haven't hit our stride yet but I think our time is coming. IMO, I'd rather we struggle early than late.

Yup not worried about OD form. Not worried about what Bulls say either, they try extra hard to troll. It gets boring when you do it for the 10 th time. Ghissa pitte dialogues

Anyway, we should at least win all the remaining OD matches at our home. It's not surprising that team who bat first on poor pitch usually lose. So not worried.

Strictly speaking it's random. Nothing wrong with our team, it's the sim. Many says if we have better batsmen we should in fact play on a poor pitch. And still we are losing means, it's random. And team usually loses who bat first on a poor pitch.

So let me get this straight.. recent form and contracts have very less impact on the Sim and if you are winning it is purely due to luck?

Batting first on a poor pitch is not good. Anyway we need to find a way to break the sim code

Contracts have an impact in that you can do more harm than good when it comes to assigning them. The Bulls last year, had terribad contract assignments, and regardless of forms, they were bad in 2 formats of the game.

We got our contracts right imo - next comes the form factor - which we seem to be out of but haven't done that bad lol We're bound to hit some stride soon.

After form, comes pitch selection and from last season and this season, it's more apparent that poor pitches are extremely random in the sense that you can get any result because a collapse can happen at any moment. Normal / Excellent imo are more balanced for us.

They do. And when I say random, I meant the collapse. Any team can collapse on a poor pitch. If we really go by batsman form only then we should be scoring lots of runs (if we considered our batsman's FC form)

In form batsman will score lots of runs. And in form bowlers will take lots of wickets. When I say random I meant, team who wins on a poor pitch are as venerable to get collapse as others.

To all my teammate just to clear the confusion, I am a Pakistani and not Indian poster. An Indian roommate of mine thought me Hindi here. Knowing Hindi should not be a criteria of making a person Indian I am hurt. Though I do have a lot good Indian friends and also I have a lot of family in India too. So please when it comes to Pakistan, it is number one for me. MYt favorite team is Pakistan and will always be that. Thank you.

I assumed that since you spoke Hindi you were Indian. My mistake mate.

But we still have the most Indians on our squad in PPCL

In all seriousness though, we do have the most diverse squad in this league. Really get the Southeast Asian Experience haha. Now all we need is a Bangladesh poster and our geographical power will be complete

Just a reminder, let's not forget to name a team. I think iHammad will choose either Normal or a poor pitch. We can with same team and batting order that won us a game against TBI or we can go with Zamee, it's totally up to you Teesra. Deadline is 2 O'Clock tomorrow, EST.

I'm thinking of sticking with what we have - Zamee for ODs and MRSN in.

Lineup is up to you guys. Should I stay as an opener or move down to 4?

It's more likely going to be a poor pitch. I would prefer you to bat at number 4 and let Talha continues to stay as an opener as he wanted.

So, VM, Talha, Me, Teesra, Shan, Navrocks, MRSN, SOSAmi, Sehsan, LastLaugh_Pk and Insaniyaat.

We lost on an excellent pitch, but then again it was against better bowling attack.

We are on verge of being hot in our form soon, so I expect us two scoring crazy very soon. If you are comfortable with it, then go for it. We are basically identical teams.

Ok I just checked DD won their all games on a Normal pitch. We lost on an excellent and Poor but won on a Normal pitch. It's clear that our contract is suited for a normal pitch. But then the problem is DD's contract are also best on a normal pitch. We just have to cross our finger and hope that we somehow outperform them.

I smell something fishy. Too many drop catches, poor batting and bowling

Our OD form has been very poor! However, if we really pick it up with our average after T20 rounds, there is a strong possibility that we might end up in at least top 3.

DD is doing well with the same contracts so I say it's not really a contract fault. I think our form is very bad.

I haven't seen a team have this bad form since..well ever. I am astounded at how bad we've been -

VMay - 19 Average in FC
Talha3 - 32 Average in FC
SOSami - 73 Bowling Average in FC

Opening 4 in OD Average:

28
11
36
25

No bowler has below a 40 average in OD

We really need to pick up our slack now. In ODs, I think its time we start playing on poor pitches just for the sake of bonus points. If we have any chance of winning, we need to get those points + wins.

Fellas, do you think we should stay with the same lineup or start changing things up?

Here's a potential lineup vs. The Bulls -

IBIT
Cricketworm
Violet_May
Talha3
Shaan
Navroks123
-------------------------
Bowlers

Or should we stay with the same?

VMay
Talha3
IBIT
Cricketworm
Shaan
Navroks
----------------
Bowlers

How about VM, Me/You, Me/You, Talha, Shaan, Navrocks, Bowlers ... I think VM is in form, might carry it for T20 as well. Also, considering the fact it's T20 and us two should bat now lower than 3 I think.

Something that is being missed in the poor batting form is the mediocre form of the bowlers..

Our highest wicket-takers Sehsan and Insaaniyat have 14 wickets, I have 12..

Compare that with other teams..

Assassins = 26-16-16
Dynamites = 21-17-12
Hawks = 18-18-17-16 ( 4 man attack, awesome yaar)
Bulls = 23-13-12
Outlawz = 23-14-13
Falconeris = 24-22-16-14 ( awesome!)

Atleast we are doing better than the delivery boys.. need to up our game ASAP..
This is for FC..

Another collapse lol We need to change our batting lineup now, bring up the in-form batsmen up the order and play MRSN cause he has performed way better than me.

SoSami is by far our worst specialist bowler.. Sehsan is doing a much better even though he is on a C contract..

Maybe SoSami is taking inspiration from his name-sake..

I think we are still doing fine in FC. Our OD form is the one that worries me. Both bowling and Batting has been shambles. If we start losing on our fav. pitch at home, then we should really worry about our chances. We haven't lost a game in Fc at home yet.

We can try Navrocks as an opener in OD and FC, but let's focus on T20 at the moment. I have strong hunch that we would do well in T20.

Did I read it correctly? IBIT just dropped Navrok for another allrounder in the T20 match against the Bulls.

Not a bad move. Reason: sim has a tendency to give one or two overs to batsman and giving one or two over to batsman in a T20 can get ugly. We just need to trust our two A batsmen 1 B batsman and 2 C batsmen to post decent score.

Yea - last year we didn't do as well particularly because the sim would select an extra bowler (6th guy) for us and it would always be talha lol. Playing 6 bowlers might help with that problem. If it doesn't work - we can switch it up.

Also, for FC/OD we definitely need to make a move for the lineups.

I'm thinking for FC

Navroks123
Shaan
VMay
IBIT
Cricketworm
Talha3
-------------
Bowlers

For OD -

Navroks123
Shaan
IBIT
Cricketworm
Talha3
VMay
--------------
Bowlers

Thoughts fellas?

Would it be wise to move Shaan from his prolific number 5 position for FC? We can switch Navrocks and Talha making our lower order stronger and hope Talha gets into form. But keep Shaan at number 5.

So, Navrocks, VM, IBIT, Cricketworm, Shaan, Talha, Bowlers. for FC. And OD let's try the one you suggested swapping both openers.

I agree with this.. should not move Shaan because that might effect his form.. I hope moving Navroks to open doesn't change his form though..

VM is not doing much while opening, what we can do is have him come at number 3 and IBIT takes him place. That way we would have our highest contracted batsman and most in-form batsman opening. VM can also regain his form if he comes in when the slightly easier bowlers are on.
