Pakistan best place for religious minorities, says Shahbaz Shareef:

Just remembered this joke from yesterday and wanted to post in case anyone missed out on it.

Shahbaz Sharif said that scheduled cast community under the leadership of Jogindar Nath Mandal fully supported All India Muslim League during the struggle of creation of Pakistan. Similarly, Christian community also took part in the struggle of creation of Pakistan shoulder to shoulder with Quaid-e-Azam, he added.

Maybe the 1/3rd of the Pakistanis can leave and persecuted minorities from around can come and replace them in the best place for minorities.

That is so true.......no religous minorites have been targeted in Pakistan........No Hindu girls have been kidnapped and forced to convert........Shahbaz Bhatti wasn't killed, he accidently shot up his car from outside while sitting inside it (I know a very mean feet but apparently not impossible as he showed).........That attack on the Ahmedis was just a propaganda........See things are very rosy.......I don't know why these minorities keep complaining then........Must be a RAW/CIA/MOSSAD propaganda!!

I wonder which really is the best country on the planet for tolerance of minorities - religious or otherwise? Could it be the UK?

(I have a declared interest in nation-states : there are far too many of them. This in itself fuels nationalism, xenophobia, religious intolerance and the rest. Wa Llahu 'Alam.)

The morally decadent individuals being a minority in any given population, the fact that Zardaris, Sharifs, ... are reigning over the country indeed confirms his aphorism.

I don't think pakistan as a state or society considers Ahmedis as minorities, they are in a separate position! this is the impression I got after all these years of reading their news papers and other things, I might be wrong!
