What would an iconic player like Afridi get paid for something like this - 10k USD, 50k USD?

Pepsi are a massive company and Pakistan is an even bigger market.

Reason I ask is that people always complain about how Pakistani player are so poorly paid (and maybe they have a point) but do a few ads like these and players become very very rich - well the top stars anyway.

Make no mistake about the fact that they (National players in particular) are super rich in terms of Pakistani standards. It's when people start comparing their limited options with the players of countries like India, Eng, Aus, S.a that the this argument of being poorly paid surface.

However, only few like Afridi etc can earn from ads since..

1-Pakistani media/ public is nowhere as obsessed with cricketers as Indians are therefore there are only few ads featuring cricketers

2-Spot-fixing/ lack of star power in the previous years added insult to the injury, so much so, that Misbah is probably the only guy after a long time who could actually be considered as a competition to Afridi even in ads (thanks to his recent successes against England and in Asia Cup )
