This happened in the area after Friday prayer, shocking incident:

Man dies after being attacked outside Birmingham mosque
By Nick McCarthy

A MAN who suffered a serious head injury after being assaulted outside a Birmingham mosque has died in hospital.
The 21-year-old victim, who has not been named, was allegedly attacked in front of horrified worshipers in Small Heath on Friday.
He was discovered with a serious head injury near the Noor-ul-Uloom mosque, at the junction of Somerville Road and St Oswald's Road.
A family friend said he died yesterday afternoon at Heartlands Hospital.
He added: 'He was in a very bad way over the weekend and there was talk of switching off the life support machine on Sunday but he seemed to be improving.
'The family are naturally devastated and making funeral arrangements.'
One eyewitness to the alleged attack said: 'It was just after Friday prayers so the mosque was packed with worshippers.
'There were women and kids stood outside watching all this and crying. You could hear the victim screaming out in pain.'
A 15-year-old schoolboy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Birmingham Youth Court on Tuesday charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He was remanded in custody.
He appeared again yesterday for a bail hearing, which was refused. He was remanded into a young offenders institute until June 13.
Two other men arrested on Friday night - aged 42 and 20 years old and also from Small Heath - have both been released on police bail until a date in July.
A forensic post-mortem will be carried out today.
West Midlands Police are asking witnesses to the incident to come forward.
Detective Inspector Stuart Kidd said: 'We are making a number of inquiries to find exactly what happened on Friday afternoon.
'We know many people were in the area and we urge them to come forward and assist us with our inquiry.'
Local officers are continuing to patrol the area to speak to local people and offer reassurance to the community.
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111

There was'nt many ppl around at the time as most were reading Sunnat/Nafal's. The argument started inside the mosque and spilled outside. Petty incident over local election rivalry.

A 15 year old attacked him ? Why did a 15 year old assault a grown man ? EDIT - Thanks in_cutter for the info.

Terrible incident considering it occurred in front of a packed mosque.

May Allah give the family of the deceased sabr to cope with this tragedy.

Unbelievable, people killing others over something so petty right after praying to God. This is the level of some Muslims today.

I was invited to become a Mosque trustee many moons ago but after going to one meeting i thought myself how am i ever going to work with these planks. The basic message of the meeting was, one who shouts loudest gets heard and be aggressive to anyone who shows any views that are different from yours.

someone once told me that one of the signs of Qayamaath is fights within mosques. Seems to happen more often than one would think. Ofcourse this was an extreme example which lead to someones death.

ha, this thread shouldn't be as funny as it is.

A muslim 'british' boy is killed and castes are blamed because yob/knife culture doesn't exist in britain at all
