yea that would be the best damage limitation scenario - get £40m from the sale of Etoo - add that to the transfer fund, Barca would be major players in the summer - with £70m+ to spend

eto'o 40m?? nah i think around the 25-30m mark would be more realistic

all i can say is that barca turned down £30m for him last year, granted this year he may want to leave but even then barca would be crazy to sell him for less than £35m

last year, he was happy and scoring for fun. this year he has been one of the reasons barca are not playing as a team and hence his value will have dropped. another factor is the african nations cup. he will only play 7 out of the 9 months and teams will not pay over the odds for him

Last year Eto'o still topped la Liga's goal scoring charts despite being away for the African Cup of nations. Not likely to play a huge part in his price if he moves on

AC Milan if they dont get ronnyd or shevchenko.

Also Lpool could swing a deal of cash+player (either alonso or sissoko). Arsenal could do something similar - a swap for henry.

I think hasbeen is being a tad bit harsh. They are not my favourite players either and I have bashed Oshea but fact is....he is a decent bench player when our guys are resting and injured. Same with Wes Brown. The only one I want to get rid of is Saha and possibly give smith a season.

brown always seems to play well and then mke a mistake or get caught out. he was at fault for todays goal as well.

richardson is just crap and should be sold.

o shea is a ok squad player to be fair

saha too injury prone

smith aint talented but just works hard

silvestre was decent 2 yrs ago but not anymore

fletcher is also an ok back up player.

some of these however should be sold and replaced with better players.

Ronaldinho has pledged his future to Barcelona.
"There is no chance that I will leave Barcelona," Ronaldinho told the Press on Thursday. "I have a contract here and I am only focused on my club," added the former Golden Ball winner, whose side leads La Liga alongside Real Madrid with four matches to go.

"I want to do my best here next year and am trying to prepare for next season as well as I can."

The Brazilian continued: "My brother is in Italy often because he represents many other players apart from me. He doesn't go to Milan to speak about my position."

if true then

well it looks like he will stay for next year - that will be sealed if milan buy sheva for a fair bit of cash. The new contract was supposed to be for "life". But negotiations have stalled

there was some talk that bojan krcic could feature in the run in! but he is definitely going out on loan next year - huge number of clubs chasing him.

Gio dos santos wont get a look in till next year. Others like suarez and j dos santos are considered too raw.

This is real madrid's title - 2-2 and then bobby carlos pops up in injury time with the winner with a couple of seconds left in the match. Talk about having luck on ur side - lost count the numver of times theyve stolen matches in injury time - u need some luck to win a title and boy are they getting some !!

thats fair enough medic - as u can see b4 the barca match started i thought the same - madrid have won several games in last few seconds of matches. However they still have to play Zaragoza - away from home i believe - just need to remember Barca have shown interest in 3 zaragoza players - they have perfect stage to impress!!

After today i'm confident that the title will stay at the nou camp!!

another factor could be Bojan Krcic - he is hot property, available for loan - Barca have a whole host of clubs they can pick from - including depor, zaragoza, mallorca - who just happen to be real m opponents

also espanyol/getafe have shown interest and they have barca still to play

So a bunch of teams hoping to do Barca a favour, and the team that does that may end up being the team that gets Bojan for a season.

Is niiiice

After today i'm confident that the title will stay at the nou camp!!
Yep. That'll be tough, but cant see Real sliping up. They've won their last 8/9 games (no matter late goals or not), so momentum is on their side. And most importantly their fate is in their own hands, something Barca cant say...

certainly true - but u must consider this

All the trials and tribulations faced in recent times - the infighting, uncertainty over futures etc. Then real madrid go top of table, sneak a winner at recreativo seconds before the barca players step onto the pitch against out bogey side away from home(been terrible away from home) - Then go on to deliver the performance of the season for them, thoroughly outplaying athletico!! i think that one match could have swayed things!!

True. The fact that we managed to prevent Torres from scoring also says a lot. But not only preventing him from scoring but also scoring 6 goals away from home is mindblowing.

If someone told me that the result was going to be 6-0 I'd have honestly thought it would be in their favour, not ours. I actually did initially when I heard the score was 6-0 but then realised it was in our favour

couldnt agree more with u Daoud. The cleansheet was quite sweet in the face of el nino, maxi rodriguez, sergio aguerro!!

This would be the equivalent of someone like Chelsea going to white hart lane and winning 6-0!! actually probably harder than that as spurs dont have a great record against chelsea!!

Daoud & WIY did you see Maxi's challenge on Iniesta!! Not even a yellow card! That angered me alot, he could be seriously injured...

Too true. I was watching the Real - Recreativo game, when Ramos body slamed Pongolle ( i think), I immediatly thought free kick and booking, but the ref just signalled him to get up.

This is the true Barcelona" declared Ronaldinho after last night's amazing 6-0 thumping of Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon.

Atletico captain Fernando Torres admitted afterwards that "in the end it was like we were playing against a team of 20" and "every player deserves zero out of ten".

For his part, Ronaldinho fired a title broadside at rivals Real Madrid.

"This is the true Barcelona. This performance was a warning to everyone. We're now returning to our best, we're stronger," said the Brazilian. "This was the Barca of always, the one that knows how to play."

Barca captain Carles Puyol, however, had his own warning for his teammates.

"We must stay grounded," said the defender, "and not believe that this automatically makes us the best.

"We must be conscience that we have to keep working hard and fighting because if we fail again, then tonight's performance will mean nothing.

"The teams around us all did well, but this victory is significant, there's no doubting that."

Argie whiz Leo Messi also remarked: "This result strengthens us after a difficult period. We won by playing good football. We put everything into it."
