The ICL - will it work?

The organisers of the proposed Indian Cricket League have been tapping up the likes of Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath and Inzamam. Brian Lara has already been signed up. But theses guys are retired or part retired so it doesn't have any political impacts on international cricket boards.

When the focus turns to current international players what will happen. The BCCI have already been making sounds that they will block their contracted players.

What will the PCB's stance on this?

I think this is an interesting development. It maybe something to ignite domestic subcontinetal cricket, which could turn out to be a bit of a cashcow. Maybe it will do for domestic cricket , what the Kerry Packer series did for ODI cricket.
