Shahid Afridi may go for ICL

The other is allrounder Shahid Afridi, though he admitted he was guarded on taking up the lucrative offer, keeping in mind the long-term implications.

"Yes I have been approached to sign for ICL," Afridi told the Khaleej Times. "But it is too early to say whether I will accept it or not. No doubt the offer, although not yet in writing, is very attractive. However, there are lots of issues to consider before taking a final decision on the offer."

i don't feel too good after reading this section. i thought any player of current squad will straight forwardly say NO to ICL and say they would like to play for thier country fist as PCB also said players will not be considered for Pak selection

so why does Afridi thinking

not looking great

But why would they want to play for India league? Go play in England! Any team will take you Mr. Afridi!

They must be throwing some massive cash at him considering PCB's stance on the matter.

Because this is not domestic cricket. It has not been officially recgonized by countrys governing body (BCCI)!

However this could kill two birds with one stone. Afridi-haters will be happy since he is out of team and Afridi-lovers will be happy since he will still be playing and playign in a form that was made for him!

i am an Afridi fan Amir and i am not happy at all ... after Ashraf has made it clear that those players who participate in this ICL will not be representing Pakistan ever again, Afridi still has thoughs about taking part ... that is poor stuff i'm afraid ... there should be no second thoughts on this whatsoever from any Pakistan players ... representing your nation should come above all else ... if he is considering choosing this over playing for Pakistan just because there are large sums of money on offer then that is simply disgraceful !!!

It might have been true sometime and people from Pakistan did go to Kerry Packer for money. There is $$$ involved everywhere.

Agree completely!! If you would rather be rolling in the green stuff, rather then putting on that green shirt, with pride and with one goal for your country, then that is absolutely pathetic!! The PCB should have a chat with him, and make it clear, how special it is playing for your country, and how many people around the world, would do anything to just get a sniff of a chance, to do what Afridi does!

why not?

its not like he doesn't want to play for his country...PCB officials are out of their mind to come up with their stupid thinking..they can make all the money they want but players are not allowed to do so...why do we expect reg people to worry so much about our country..why not our leaders and our CEO's and our Presidents and our GM's and our PM's and our CM"S show some love for the country and do something useful..just look at whats happening in pakistan right now.....the one who played for our country what have they got? just look at inzi, they he's been humilated after giving his heart and soul for his country, look at Waq bhai, look at wasim bhai, javed bhai,Qadir bhai, Saqi bhai, and many more..what have they got? anyone remember how Waq bhai got humilated by these so called lovers of pakistan....we even killed the founder of our country..what do we expect....

i say go for it lala..if that means not able to play for pakistan anymore...i say all of them go for it....

Killed the founder of our country? What are you on about? The Quaid had tuberculosis and died after a protracted illness. Know your history son.

for star players who have big endorsements it will be foolish to go there. They will start losing the contracts and end up with less money. Playing for national team is what gives them more exposure, makes them the stars and bring in endorsements.

But I think PCB should be clear to thoes players who may not be in their future plans that go ahead.
