David Haye has finally announced his retirement and just released his autobiography. It appears there is scope to fight Vitali Klitschko but he has bottled it and retired instead.

Is he quite possibly one of the biggest fraud in recent years? He really captured the nations imagination and made out like he was the new Tyson or Ali. In reality he was a joke of the highest order and beat nobody of note. Infact his performance against Wladimir was so bad that I felt sorry for him.

He was not only arrogant but was also disrespectful and classless. A good cruiersweight career but a joke of a heavyweight champion.

I can't see him being successful as an actor. He is not likeable enough.

What's your take on this guy?

Former world heavyweight boxing champion Joe Frazier is in hospice care with liver cancer, his manager says.

He says Frazier - also known as Smokin' Joe - was diagnosed with cancer several weeks ago.

"I would be a liar if I did not tell you it is very serious," Leslie Wolf told Reuters news agency.

Didn't realise there was a boxing thread or i would have posted sooner, shame this first post in here is with sad news. First man to beat Ali and a great heavyweight champion.

Marquez should have won, I wouldn't say he was "robbed" though. I think the first judge had it right, it was an even fight.

It was obvious that Manny would take the decision, if it was pushed that far.

The boxing world knows how big a Pacman v Mayweather fight would be. It just has to happen and they didn't need a Pacman loss, now.

Marquez had to knock him out, if he wanted to win. Pacman was always going to get the decision, it's the way boxing has always worked unfortunately.

Apparently Manny had cramps during the fight...anyway it was a close fight either of them could have won.

Manny seemed to be a different fighter once round 5 started. Something just didn't seem right, he was missing with his punches, footwork went all pear shaped, a sad sight to see for a Pacman fan.

JMM should have got the decision, he was robbed.

Anyway for those who didn't see it, great quality highlights for you guys.

It was a close decision but not a robbery as people are making it out to be. Manny landed more punches/jabs/power punches in the fight according to compu-box.

Sometimes a partisan crowd with their selective cheering can sway a viewers perception as to who is winning the fight. The fight could have gone either way.

Have a look at the stats:

Watching second time round - some very close rounds. Not far fetched to say Pac edged it.

Could have gone either way, certainly not a clear robbery as has been suggested.

But regarding a mayweather fight, manny needs to seriously up his game

For the first time - the mayweathers are now really pushing this fight. Bob Arum wants to make a 4th marquez fight. Freddie and Manny have said they want the mayweather fight.

Nothing is set in stone but for the 1st time there is some real hope of this fight getting made.

Unfortunately, it seems manny has slipped a little over the last 2 fights. Had it taken place around the Manny Margarito fight, it would have been a great contest. Right now (even though I'd be rooting for pac), I think Flod decisions him quite easily. But regardless, the fight needs to happen.

Cotto vs Margarito anyone?

Hope Cotto can get revenge. Cotto on points for me!

Shame it's on some boxingnation channel in the UK. They want you to subscribe for a minimum of 6 months! Going to have to find a decent steam.
