Performance of T20 Squad Players in RBS Cup

so the RBS t20 competition is up and running, and the main reason of the competition is to give pakistani t20 squad for world cup match practice.

soome players will improve and some wont, and you cant judge a player in this small time.

so who do think is in form and who isn't.

First day Positive points:

Younis khan gets his batting form back with 70+ runs

Negative points:

I will say that Aamer was abit lucky because nasir was in great touch, he bowled with pace and some good yokers, but still need to improve.

Gul- it simply was not his day

Shahzaib- looked promising untill first ball he faced, so may be he is another afridi.

so their are few negative points to improve on for the players. hopefully we get about 8 of our main players in good form for the t20 cup.

Second Day

Positive points

Fawad alam- excellent knock from the youngster and he surely going to be our trump card in t20 world cup

Shahid afridi- batted well for his 35 of 20 balls

Umar gul- after first day performance he really bowled well today.

Younis khan- he got his touch back at the right time.

3rd Day

Positive points

Shahid Afridi good bowling

Shaib malik excellent Batting and bowling once again

Fawad Alam- Excellent batting, keeping his form going

Sohail tanvir- a very good news, he bowled very well- 4-0-18-3

Muhammed Aamer- all the questions which were raised after his first t20 performance have now gone with excellent spell of 4-0-20-2

negative points

Ahmed shehzad- pressure is getting to this kid allready, hope he do good in t20 world cup

Well Tanvir has struck form.. He got a three-wicket haul today, giving away only 24 runs. The rest of the bowlers were hit quite a bit.. Leading from the front, Kukkar kuptaan is I guess

I can not believe Salman butt and ahmed shehzad is in our T20 squad, this is totally redicilous when you see guys like nasir jamshed, khalid latif, naved latif, afaaq raheem, fayyaz ahmed, umar akmal and many more smash bowlers all over the park. And still I have not mentioned imran nazir, rana and abdul razzaq.

Not so much Butt but shezad?????

He hardly is 2020 material, struggles to hit ball of the square, i sense a bit of favouratism there

Aamer is seriously beginning to sound like pure hype. I still haven't seen him take a wicket - agreed the field did not support him yesterday, but he did not do something to bounce back as well - unlike Sohail Tanveer (here's hoping he continues this till the T20 WC)..
Aamer went for 10 an over.

Aamer and Shehzad are struggling.

It's a lot of pressure for two 17 year olds.

to be honest aamer looked pretty good in the game yesterday..

3 dropped catches off his bowling. and apart from nasir jamshed continuously charging the track, nobody had a real answer to his bowling.

statistics dont always tell the story... looked good to me!

We've honestly lost this WC unless someone pulls a match winning performance every single match which isn't going to happen. I hope we start bad and gain good momentum in the business end of the tournament otherwise we're done for.

Why are our ICL players not in the T-20 team? This is riddiculous. Three match winners are being kept out of the T-20 team. These 3 players can literally single handedly win matches on their own.

Yeah the guy keeps on destroying batting line ups in 4 day game (the real test for any young cricketer) and the moment he gets hit around in a 20 over hit and giggle bash he gets labeled as pure hype.

Dude, I was just stating an opinion - didn't really follow him in first class matches, and the few matches he played when being drafted into the squad he was hit around and got no wickets.. He has been selected for playing in the "hit and giggle bash" T20 cricket, so he should be looking forward to performing in this format most. I definitely agree with you that a youngster's true test is test cricket, but right now, we're preparing for a T20 world cup ...

And when I was saying that, I found out he took a 3-wicket haul against Quetta.... Good on him...

I don't know why people are expecting guys like Shezad and Aamir to just come in and make us forget Wasim and Anwar.Very few guys start dominating from day one the positive thing about both guys is they have the required basics to compete in internaational cricket and now its up to them and their coaching staff to nurture then in to world class cricketers.

It is indeed a mistake.. I would have been glad to see Nasir Jamshed in place of Salman Butt in our T20 squad. Nasir Jamshed-Shahzaib Hasan opening pair would have been brutal.

I'll reserve judgment on Shahzaib. So far all I've heard about him is hearsay. But Nasir has proven it already at the big stage. if only he can stay healthy and fit for the next few years.

I have to admit that Ahmed Shehzad is really not ready for T20, he struggles to score runs and starts slogging. I was really excited about him and still think he can improve his game a lot as he has good technique.

Aamer Sohail made very disapponting and stupid comment , he said that Fawad is in the team as an allrounder and he really needs to improve his bowling if he wants to play for Pakistan.
Why are they ignoring the fact that he is good enough batsman, it doesn't matter if he can bowl or not.

Commentator kept on praising Junaid Zia , i have never seen any other fast bowler CHUCKING as much as Zia and it's unbelieveable how he keeps on getting chances to play at domestic level (waste of important spot).

Yeah he's not 20/20 type not a copncern he has good technique which means he will do well in the more important formats of the game but this guy Nasir jamshed is some serious talent he is one of those unique cricketers who can even dispatch a god ball to the ence.
