Would seem strange for a squad containing the likes of Henry, Anelka & Ribery. However no replacement for Zindane to unpick defences, a fading Henry, an Anelka who have never done it in the World cup and Ribery who might be more concerned about going to prison, may suggest otherwise as to the true potential of this team.

Gourcouff started well but Anelka and Govou just really never gave france any decent outlets up front in terms of making space for themselves or making space for others.

I dont know when Benzema and Nasri were left out of the final sqaud!
