Announcement

Dear Members and Guests

The PakPassion team are delighted to welcome you back to our forums.

You will have noticed that we have re-launched the forums with a new software that we feel will provide our members with a much better all-round experience.

As with any upgrade, it will take a bit of time to get used to and there may be some issues that will need correcting. We have set up this thread

for you to report any issues that need looking into by our technicians or if you have any suggestions regarding the design and the layout of the forums.

We thank you for your patience whilst the forums were not available, but as you can imagine, a project like this takes a lot of planning, organising and hard work.

So, welcome back and happy posting!

Younis Khan made yet another 4th innings hundred to ensure Pakistan take the 3 match series 2-1.

Overnight score: Sri Lanka 278 and 313, Pakistan 215 and 230-2

By PakPassion Staff (7th July, 2015)

Pakistan needed another 147 runs to win with 8 wickets in hand which by no means was an easy task. They still had the scars of collapsing back in 2009. Younis and Shan started slowly picking up the singles until Shan lost his patience to come down the track to Kaushal and as stumped as a result after scoring a brilliant 125. Next in was the out of form skipper Misbah-ul-Haq who blocked absolutely everything that came his way. Younis continued to get on with his scoring on the other end to bring the target down to below 100. Sri Lanka took the new ball straight away but didn't have much luck. An LBW shout , which was reviewed by Sri Lanka also showed the bails clipping of Younis Khan. Pakistan went in to lunch being the happier of the sides on 321-3 with Younis Khan on 142 and Misbah-ul-Haq on 27 as Pakistan required another 56 runs to complete the historic chase.

Pakistan went in to attacking mode and started to score quickly after Lunch to finish off the remaining 56 runs. Younis Khan becomes the player to score the highest score in the 4th innings by a Pakistani. He crossed yet another 150+ and remained not out on 171 while Misbah on the other hand went all boom to finish on 59 as Pakistan completed a historic chase with 7 wickets in hand and take the series 2-1.

Fall of Wickets Day 5:

Shan Masood 3-255 (73.4 overs)

Result: Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 7 wickets and take the 3 match series 2-1.
