Toss: West Indies won the toss and chose to field.

Teams:

Pakistan: Khalid Latif, Sharjeel Khan, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal, Sarfraz Ahmed (c and wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Imad Wasim, Hasan Ali, Sohail Tanvir, Wahab Riaz.

West Indies: J Charles, E Lewis, ADS Fletcher (wk), MN Samuels, DJ Bravo, N Pooran, KA Pollard, CR Brathwaite (c), SP Narine, JE Taylor, S Badree.

Pakistan Innings

Pakistan commenced their innings in a slow manner as Khalid Latif struggled at the start. Sharjeel decided to take the initiative but instead perished to Badree, bowled for the 2nd game in a row. Latif and Babar once again formed a good partnership before the latter holed out to long on. Latif got going and hit a few boundaries before being run out for 40. Sarfraz and Malik then came together and stayed together till the last over. They didn't manage to hit too many big shots but intelligently rotated strike to compensate as Pakistan finished strongly, ensuring that there weren't too many wasted deliveries at the end. Malik was dismissed for a 28-ball 37 but Sarfraz stayed unbeaten on 46 off 32 as Pakistan made 160/4.

Fall Of Wickets

1-4 (Sharjeel Khan, 2.2 ov)
2-58 (Babar Azam, 8.1 ov)
3-85 (Khalid Latif, 11.4 ov)
4-154 (Shoaib Malik, 19.2 ov)

West Indies Innings

West Indies were more cautious at the start of their innings but it didn't long for Imad to strike as Charles gave some catching practice to Umar Akmal at long on. Sohail Tanvir then contributed with a double strike in a fantastic spell, dismissing Lewis and Samuels. Bravo looked threatening for a while but an excellent Nawaz over troubled him and he was bowled on the last ball. Pollard and Fletcher had a short partnership until Hasan Ali struck to remove both in the same over while Pooran also fell to Tanvir, being outfoxed by his variations. There were a few jitters at the end as Hasan Ali and Wahab Riaz went for runs but the earlier hard work paid off as West Indies ended up 16 runs short of Pakistan's total.

Fall Of Wickets

1-12 (Charles, 2.3 ov)
2-15 (Lewis, 3.4 ov)
3-19 (Samuels, 5.3 ov)
4-45 (Bravo, 9.6 ov)
5-82 (Fletcher, 14.2 ov)
6-83 (Pollard, 14.5 ov)
7-89 (Pooran, 15.6 ov)
8-119 (Brathwaite, 18.2 ov)
9-144 (Narine, 19.6 ov)

Match Summary:

A good performance overall by Pakistan, but it wasn't smooth sailing through out. It was a good test for Sarfraz as he lost the toss and Pakistan had to bat first instead. Despite a sluggish start, they batted in a calculated manner to finish with a strong total on a pitch where lower scores are expected. The bowling was once again spot on until the latter stages and the spinners and Sohail Tanvir were particularly impressive. Hasan Ali continued to show his wicket-taking abilities but the leakage of runs saw Mickey Arthur fuming towards the end. Nevertheless, a good win for Pakistan as they take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
