The exciting and highly talented batsman Haris Sohail has signed a deal to play league cricket in England this summer.

23 year old Haris was amongst the young cricketers who really caught the eye in the Faysal Bank Super 8s T20 Cup, helping the Sialkot Stallions to retain their title in Rawalpindi after overcoming the Karachi Dolphins in the final by 8 wickets.

Left hander Haris batting alongside his captain Shoaib Malik in the final, looked at ease during his innings. He exhibited his class by displaying assured footwork while playing his shots with extreme ease and with a lot of time. Sohail, based on today’s performance, did look a batsman with a bright future.

Sohail scored 173 runs in four innings for Sialkot in the Super 8s tournament and was not dismissed throughout the tournament and must have caught the selectors and coaching staff's eye in Rawalpindi.

Sialkot born Sohail has scored over 3000 runs at an average of over 46 in 48 first class matches, including 20 half centuries and 7 centuries. He was picked for the Pakistan Cricket Board XI to face England in Dubai, ahead of England's Test series against Pakistan in the UAE.

Haris has signed for Highfield cricket club who are members of the Liverpool and District Cricket Competition. Highfield CC is a well established club having been founded in 1924 and is recognised by the ECB as one of its "Focus" clubs.
