Speaking exclusively to PakPassion.net, Pakistan pace bowler Wahab Riaz stated that having Aaqib Javed as bowling coach really makes a lot of difference for the bowlers.

"It's great to be able to work with a bowling coach whilst on tour and one with such vast experience of coaching and playing at the highest level. Aaqib really lifts the sprits of the boys and motivates everyone. He is excellent to have around in the dressing room" stated Wahab who was part of the recent one day squad in UAE against New Zealand.

Wahab who has feautured in 5 ODIs and one Twenty/20 international for Pakistan added "The biggest difference a bowling coach like Aaqib makes is not only the small technical adjustments, but above all the reduction in the number of no balls. He was working hard with all the bowlers to ensure that runups were spot on and that even in practice we were not bowling any no balls. In fact he wanted us to land our front foot well behind the crease, so that there was no chance of bowling a no ball".

Wahab who will feauture for National Bank against KRL in tommorow's Quaid E Azam Trophy Group A encounter continued "I'm on standby for the New Zealand test series, so its important that I maintain my fitness and continue to play for National Bank in the Quaid E Azam Trophy. The selectors have told me to keep myself ready in case there are any injuries to the fast bowlers while they are in New Zealand".

Looking further into the future Wahab stated "I hope that I can make the squad for the tour of Australia, as its such an important and big series. Hopefully I can hit some good form in domestic cricket and the selectors choose me".
