Quetta Gladiators secured a spot in the HBL PSL X final by defeating Islamabad United by 30 runs at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday, thanks to a strong all-round performance from Faheem Ashraf. The final is scheduled for Sunday, 25 May.

Batting first, the Gladiators posted 209 for six, with a crucial 95-run partnership between Dinesh Chandimal (48* off 28) and Faheem Ashraf (45 off 23). Earlier contributions came from Finn Allen (41 off 27). For United, Ben Dwarshuis and Salman Irshad took two wickets each.

In response, Islamabad United struggled early, losing opener Alex Hales for a duck in the second over to Faheem Ashraf. Sahibzada Farhan (52 off 35) and Rassie van der Dussen (35 off 23) added 71 runs for the second wicket, but the target proved too steep. Salman Ali Agha scored 44 off 26, while Shadab Khan was the only other batsman to reach double figures. United were bowled out for 179 in 19.4 overs.

Usman Tariq was the standout bowler for Quetta, taking three wickets for 32 runs, with Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Amir, and Mohammad Wasim Jr claiming two wickets each. Despite the loss, Islamabad United still have a chance to reach the final by winning Eliminator 2 on 23 May
