Pakistani off spinner Saeed Ajmal and left arm medium fast bowler Sohail Tanvir have both left KRL and joined ZTBL.

The move which comes into effect immediately means that both players will be available for ZTBL in the forthcoming Quaid e Azam Trophy matches, which are due to commence on 10th October. Ajmal though, will have to wait for his ZTBL debut until after the Champions Trophy event in South Africa.

31 year old Ajmal has been a revelation since making his one day debut in July 2008 and was one of the key performers as Pakistan lifted the Twenty/20 World Cup in June of this year.

Ajmal who made his first class debut in 1996 will look to continue his impressive domestic record which boasts 269 first class wickets.

Tanvir will look to use the move to ZTBL to reignite his international career after a disappointing series in UAE against Australia and a below par performance at the Twenty/20 World Cup where he watched most of the tournament from the sidelines.

As well as on field problems, Tanvir has had his fair share of off field issues too. He was recently sent back to Pakistan by immigration officials at Heathrow Airport, after landing in the UK with the incorrect paperwork after signing a short term county stint with Surrey.

Speaking to PakPassion.net KRL skipper Mohammad Wasim stated "yes losing both Sohail and Saeed is a big blow for KRL, but we have to look at this as an opportunity for 2 of our younger players to prove themselves. We have a couple of players in mind who we think can do a good job in the side".
