In the latest edition of our AUDIO feature, "View from the Pavilion", former Pakistan player Aamir Sohail discusses the Saeed Ajmal situation and wonders why the Coaching staff attached to the Pakistan team did not act to spot and circumvent the crisis.

In summary:

1. Coaching staff should have seen that Ajmal was struggling with his action

2. Selection policies should have ensured that pressure is not solely on Ajmal to take wickets - pressure which resulted in him trying harder to take wickets with a suspect action.

3. Saqlain Mushtaq's presence seems to indicate that PCB has little faith in abilities of Mushtaq Ahmed.
